Notes from the curator

We took coffees from three major coffee regions from around the world and carefully blended them together to create a unique espresso blend. Our Seafarer Blend holds its own as not only a great espresso, but also an incredible cup of brewed coffee.

Reviewers: We are not baristas, nor aficionados - we just like like coffee. We are awaiting our <group-1- order> shipment of the Spinn coffeemaker and we periodically order from the MarketPlace in anticipation of its arrival. We'll probably use it as a dedicated espresso machine. Our impetus for this order was to GO LOCAL and order from the Roaster that is closest to where we live. Regarding our rating strategy, we rarely give the "last" star because one never knows when they will experience a TRULY remarkable product, so we like to leave "room-at-the-top". Use case: We grind with a Baratzo Virtuoso and our coffeemaker is a Cuisinart DCC-3200. Our favorite blends are dark roasts from the Yirgacheffe region (wondering which regions are included in the three that are mentioned in the Curator Note). Evaluation: The first thing we noticed about the shipment was the bag; maybe other Roasters do this, but it's the first time we've seen it. It has a tabbed, side-mounted, easy-open zip-lock that is very effective. Upon opening the bag our first nose was <smokeysweet/caramel/blueberry/shortbread> concurring, we think, with the Curator Note. After brewing (drip-grind) the freshly poured cup tasted very smooth, slightly sweet, with a hint of cocoa. -Nice- Buy again? Absolutely
