Notes from the curator

We crafted this blend to appeal to the broadest of taste profiles by imbuing a rich but smooth roast flavor with a mellow and appeasing finish which will leave you satisfied but intrigued for more. We blend several different bean origins together to create a flavor that cannot be duplicated in any one single origin coffee bean. We have crafted a flavor profile that is full-bodied with a well balanced richness to give you a satisfying coffee taste without an overbearing aftertaste or bitterness.

Verena Street Coffee is named after the quiet neighborhood nestled in the Mississippi River valleys of Dubuque, Iowa where we grew up. Five houses lined this street and our extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents were our only neighbors. Read more...

beans clogged machine

Even though it says medium roast, it is a little darker and we started having the problem of no coffee coming out, just brown water, after starting this bag. I’m still working on getting the hopper and grinder cleaned a week after we finished the bag
Too oily

Machine is constantly not picking up the beans given they are too oily
I like these!

My fiancée and I bought 3 different bags of beans with the coffee credits we received after the Spinn arrived. We bought 3 medium roasts, two which were much more acidic and this one. We prefer darker roasts more, typically because we have yet to develop a taste for fruity, acidic coffees. This was by far our favorite of the group. Don’t mind a little oil either, never caused major problems for us. If you want a classic tasting morning cup of joe, go for this one. We’ll be trying their dark espresso beans next since we really enjoyed these so much. Thanks Verona Street!
Oily and jams machine

The beans are very oily and get jammed up in the machine.
