I bought my Spinn in December 2022 with the intent of reducing my trips to Starbucks. I have really enjoyed the variety of drinks it makes and many new drink options have been added since I first received my machine. Unfortunately, the coffee roasts I enjoy the most tend to not flow in the hopper, requiring me to have to push the beans into the grinder and resulting, over time in the brewer basket getting plugged and/or the brewer getting blocked/not able to get up to speed. The DIY repair kit has made it possible to keep the machine running. I like the app and the reminders re: cleaning, descaling and filter replacement. Although the Spinn 2 does seem to address some of my issues, particularly the new hopper design should ensure beans are always presented to the grinder, I am looking for a different replacement once the hassle of dealing with the brewer gets to be too much.

This machine is probably the best i ever used
I have had my Spinn for almost 2 years. It has been reliable as long as you clean it and descale it regularly and that includes the ground bean auger; and the grounds that accumulate behind the catch bin and prevent the “bin present sensor” from working (and the same for the overflow tray). A more insidious failure mode that is preventable is the water filter. If you ignore the “replace filter” warning because you have filtered or RO water, the filter will still clog … albeit much more slowly. When it does, you will notice slow brews and the red LED will increasingly be lit. I removed my filter and the problem went away. BTW, oily beans will often cause a “traffic jam” at the grinder inlet and that means a weak brew. After my warranty expired, I removed the plastic finger protector. This modification and a regular removal of the accumulated oils on the feed ramp has fixed the annoying problem.

This is the greatest coffee machine. Luxury coffee at home is now a thing. The machine is also a piece of art in the kitchen. The simplicity of no waste and the speed to make the perfect cup. You can also custom create your perfect cup adjusting water and coffee settings. Honestly I love this so much. Only thing you have to do is learn to clean it properly. Understand the machine to know how to operate properly. I can't wait for the new model. The only downside now is every time I get coffee out I'm disappointed!
Agree with everyone that this is a great machine that makes a variety of delicious coffee based drinks. I love the ease especially first thing in the morning. Everyone in the household has their own favorite formula so no arguments over how to make the morning pot. Two things I would change- I’d love to be able to easily swap out beans to decaf for evenings but you can’t do that with this machine. All drinks use the same beans until you reload the machine. That’s kind of a downer. Also, I’d like there to be a cancel button in case you press the wrong selection. Right now all you can do is unplug it. That’s probably not good for the machine in the long run. But this machine has been a real workhorse and I’d still buy it again without those features.

Over the years I've spent way too much at coffee shops. Buying beans myself, grinding them, making my own pour over was tiring to say the least. When I discovered Spinn I got on the wait list early, tool about a year before I got my machine. I did have a problem with the first one but it was replaced quickly. Being a tech person I've tried to ask question, asked for photos or videos, so I can understand the machine and diagnose issues myself. Spinn refuses to send any, and at times tech support, like so many other places, don't know actual answers, they go on past experience or read from a script. I actually found an issue while the machine was making coffee, I changed button preferences while it was grinding and saved it. The machine, for whatever reason kept making the same cup over and over and would not stop till I cancelled it. Taking to support they kept telling me oil was on the front of the machine and causing this. I kept telling them it's clean and could duplicate the problem at will, yet they continued to tell me it was oil on the front of the machine. Finally one person got a clue, which should have easily been verified if they would just do the steps I initially sent. So while support is not the best I've seen anywhere, maybe it's not the worst. I've volunteered to be a tester but they don't want to have anything to do with me. They claim to have beta testers but having worked in a QA environment it looks like they're lacking. The machine itself is not having issues after 4 years, and I use it daily. I maintain maintenance schedule when prompted to make sure it remains in tip top shape. I attached a waterline which helps immensely so dumping the residue bin and drip tray seems less of a hassle. I have noticed the transport worm will bend over time and need replacing. Support tells me lots of people do not have an issue with it clogging but I find this hard to believe. I clean it when it's due for cleaning maintenance and it needs it. To me they ought to make this step one of the cleaning process. I have been able to heat the worm over the stove and straighten it out, which helps. I find $15 for a piece of plastic kind of pricey so will try and make it last as long as possible. I ordered Spinn2 when it was announced but the updates are lacking in my opinion, you can see this on their instagram page. It is already past the initial announced delivery by at least 6 months I think so hopefully it's coming soon.
Spinn is one of best coffee maker in market. Flavor of brew is like having popular coffee chain at the comfort of your own home. Customer service is top notch and very knowledgeable. I can't help but recommend it. For such a large investment, Spinn should offer extended warranty or at least two year warranty for customer.

I have mixed feelings about the Spinn coffee machine, but let me start by saying I absolutely love it and can’t imagine my kitchen without it. This device is nothing short of incredible—it brews exceptional coffee with a level of precision and flavor that’s unmatched. The sleek design, customizable settings, and quality of the coffee make it the greatest machine on the market in my opinion. It’s a game-changer for coffee lovers, and I’m hooked. That said, the Spinn has some serious reliability issues. Despite my diligent maintenance—cleaning it monthly and going above and beyond the recommended upkeep—I’ve had to send it back for repairs five times in just 3 years. Each repair has taken progressively longer, with the fifth one being the tipping point. After nine weeks of waiting without any updates, Spinn finally sent me a certified machine. While I appreciate the replacement, the downtime was frustrating, to say the least. To keep enjoying my Spinn, we’ve had to purchase two extended warranties, which isn’t ideal but feels necessary given its track record. My honest take? This is the best coffee machine out there, but you need to be prepared for potential headaches. Its shelf life might be short, and repairs can drag on, so I strongly recommend having a backup coffee maker (we do). If you’re willing to deal with the maintenance and occasional hiccups, the Spinn is worth every penny for the coffee it delivers. I love it, bad brews and all.
I love the machine, the coffee it produces and the ways you can customize each cup is wonderful. But the quality of the machine leaves a lot to be desired, especially for the price, I am very disappointed. I purchased two of these machines, one for home and one for my small office. After a little over a year both machines started to make noises after if made coffee. Then one locked up. I got instructions on how to take it apart and clean it. That didn't help. I had purchased the extended warranty and sent it back for the two weeks I was told it would take. after a month I did get a refurbished machine. On my second machine, it is locking up after each use now and when we called today about our warranty, they told us we could go on the wait list of 6-8 weeks to get an RMA number to return the machine for repairs. I think something is wrong with the design for me to have two machines that have the same problem, and it seems like a lot of others have had problems since they are completely out of stock on refurbished machines.
My machine recently had a mechanical problem that required ir to be shipped back.. I barely survived the torture!
In two years, we have made over 2800 cups of coffee with this machine. The simplicity and reliability have made it an absolute delight to use. We recently realized that due to a number of back-to-back brewing sessions (hosting company and everyone wants an espresso!), the residue bin has warped and melted. My replacement is on the way, and I look forward to the machine being good as new. While I'm a little disappointed that this piece literally couldn't take the heat, it's a small repair cost given how heavily we've used it.
Our Spinn Pro Plus stopped working a few months after the one year warranty. Although there were some nice features, the frequent maintenance was time-consuming and often experienced water leaks after replacing the water filter. We now have a De'Longhi Dynamic and are really enjoying it. The only con is that it doesn't have a direct plumb line like the Spinn Pro Plus. But, it does come with a 2 year warranty that was extended to 3 years upon registration (and at this price point, that's a definite plus).

This coffee maker is extremely high maintenance and extremely fragile and the customer service is terrible. Our machine has been broken for 3 months. We’ve sent it in twice to be fixed because it came back still broken after the first time. Spinn currently has our machine and we can’t get a reply from customer service. This machine is far too expensive to be this much hassle.

Your machine is ingenious in design. It works very well and makes consistently great coffee. And it is very durable. Your customer service is excellent as well! I have had a couple unusual issues over time and your team walked me through a solution successfully each time. Very satisfactory! I definitely recommend your units. They are well worth the money. I am speaking from experience. I have had my Spinn for over 4 years now and it’s still working as well as when I brewed my first cup! Thanks SpinnTeam!👍👊🤗

Makes week coffee occasionally other than that it’s pretty good
The espresso is great and the convenience is great, but I can’t seem to make any full sized coffee or cold brew without it tasting super watered down. I’ve made sure continually that I push the beans down into the grinder (and I’m using medium roast non oily beans)
The BEST coffe I have ever had

FAQ helped me with my problem of brewer being blocked. Spinn has been excellent!
I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the darned corkscrew! How a sophisticated piece of electronics like this wound up with a flimsy, plastic part such as the “corkscrew” baffles the mind. This tiny, flaccid 6 inch part clogs constantly. Even with cleaning & descaling often. That one part jams the whole machine & stops it from working. Removing it is another huge issue. More cheap looking plastic “wheels” inside if you manage to unscrew the tiny screw that keeps the corkscrew in place. You then wrestle with it for 15 minutes before it comes loose. We use the machine often & have to this every 3 weeks. Please do better. The coffee is good!
