Notes from the curator
This is a Fair Trade Organic certified coffee from the "El Palto." The co-op is located in the Amazonian Andes in northern Peru. The co-op consists of 189 members (40 of which are women) that all produce organic and Fair Trade Certified coffee. This lot contains Typica, Pache, Caturra, and Bourbon varieties, and is grown at 1600-1800 masl. This is a natural processed coffee where the coffee cherry is left in tact and dried which imparts an exotic fruit-forward sweetness to the coffee.
