After 15 years of working in the coffee industry, I started my own brand this year, Eleva Coffee. Our motto is Love Your Coffee, Make A Difference, and our name is derived from the Spanish verb “to rise up.” The company is founded on many of the same values as your program. Eleva’s mission is to uplift the farming communities that grow our coffee through social entrepreneurship. We buy directly from farmers, offering a fair wage, and, implement agricultural training programs to help them sustainably increase their yields. Our goal is to see the farmers’ incomes increase 300-500% over the next few years. We also fund infrastructure projects to improve education and health services for the entire community.
Our first infrastructure project is bringing clean water to the farmers of Peñas Blancas, Nicaragua.
