Summer Nights The rich volcanic black soil and superb drainage are ideal for the cultivation of coffee. The valley's micro-region is heavily influenced by its proximity to both the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. Cool front free nights, typical of the area, coupled with dry, sun-drenched days create optimal growing conditions.
