Notes from the curator
The coffee sourced from the Coocamu cooperative, located in the Rutsiro district in the Western province sector of Musa, was founded in 2013, and they supply fair trade certified coffee. The only way to get to Coocamu is by taking a 45-minute boat ride across Lake Kivu from Kibuye. Infrastructure improvements have made coffee production a lot easier for the cooperative members.
