The E.A. process, or Ethyl acetate process, is a process where ethyl acetate (chemical found in ripening fruit) is used to remove caffeine from coffee. Has been referred to as the “natural decaffeination method. In taste tests, Downward Dog Decaf wins hands-down. It is not unusual to be told this is the best decaf coffee our customers have ever tried.
